WorkMates enables Australian DPX4 user to Impose 10 times faster

We are a high-volume user of an ECRM DPX4 polyester plate CtP machine.  We receive most of our files as PDFs and print a large number of short-run jobs on 2-up and 4-up presses (Shinohara 66 4 colour, Shinohara 52 5 colour, and a GT052).  The ability to get the jobs to plate quickly is critical for us to effectively compete with short run digital presses.

Before we had ECRM WorkMates software, our imposition was done by hand with Quark, then sent to various devices (proofing, lasers, pdf, and plates).  The Workmates system with ImposeMate has made this process much smoother and 10 times faster.

Also the software's CheckMate profile gives us the ability that any RGB images are caught and converted to CMYK as the file passes through the WorkMates workflow -- this has considerably reduced the need for remakes.
