Southern Lithoplate will market ECRM's newspaper CTP family of products. The alliance was announced in conjunction with Southern Lithoplate's launching of their first violet CTP plate called TIGER V and ECRM's North American debut of the MAKO NEWSmatic HS plus platesetter.

In 2004, Drupa hosted 393,654 trade visitors from 122 countries (55% from countries other than Germany) and 1,862 exhibitors from 52 different countries. ECRM will be showing five new product enhancements that will pave the way for increased productivity and profits, while embracing the growing demand for "greener" alternatives. We'll be exhibiting at Drupa in Hall 9, Stand C56.

The Indonesian Printing Exhibition, also known as Indoprint, is the leading specialized printing exhibition in Indonesia with 10,000+ expected to attend the four-day event. Indoprint 2006 welcomed trade visitors from 15 countries with the majority coming from Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Taiwan. There was also a good turnout from Australia, China, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Italy, Germany, Korea, Netherlands, Spain and Thailand. The show has continuously helped to develop higher standards in the local printing industry. At this year's event, ECRM will exhibit MAKO NEWS in the booth of our local partner (PT. Berkat Abadi Pratama).

According to graphic arts market research leader PRIMIR (www.primir.org), the Italian print market was valued at €18.1 billion (US$22.5 billion) in 2005, and was projected to grow by 2.2% in absolute terms throughout 2006. In a recent article, noted Newspaper consultant David Lightfoot wrote, "Today, the North American newspaper industry is entering the rapid growth phase of its conversion to computer-to-plate processing... Now, newspapers are beginning to evaluate what kind of digital workflow they want to deploy to optimize their CTP foundation." To this end, ECRM is introducing a newspaper-dedicated workflow that will enable production managers to efficiently and effectively work with PDF files in newspaper production.
